BOOM BOOM came to us as a fluke. I was looking to add a weanling, not a mature mare. But, she won our hearts quickly with her temperament and skills. BOOM BOOM is a well trained mare and team roped before becoming a broodmare. She was offered to us and we grabbed her and ANGEL up in the Summer of 2025. Once home we realized we acquired quite the gem here. Not only is she will trained, but she is calm enough to be a kids horse for TENNs small children. We are hoping to get her in the show pen for RANCH VERSATILITY classes this fall before we breed her to TRUCK in 2026.

Buckskin Mare
LUCY in her younger days, was a rope horse on both the head and heel end. Since then she has raised 4 foals, the last one in 2022. Raisin Roans Ranch QHs picked her and two others up from a ranch that is going in another direction. We have been evaluating her and getting to know her. From our research, LUCY has not been rode in at least 9yrs. TENN saddles her up and found a really nice ride under her. LUCY neck reins like a pro. She has not forgotten any of her training. LUCY has a very nice comfortable lil trot, but can also cover ground if you want to amp it up a bit. Crossing obsticles was no issue either. LUCY will require a soft hand and an advanced, confident rider. I say this because she was once a rope horse, had a job and wanted to please her rider by getting it done.
I am not offering LUCY as a rider. Although, she has extensive training we found she is off in her left front when asked to make sharp left hand turns. We gave her 2wks off after putting the first ride on her in 9yrs. She recovered quickly and was no longer sore. We were thinking maybe a stone bruise. But, after a 2nd evaluation we found that she still gets sore working to the left. Out in every day pasture life, I’ve never see lameness in the couple months we’ve had her.
To carry on her fantastic bloodlines, being a brood mare will suit her just fine. I want LUCY to go to the best home possible. If interested in her, we will need to chat on the phone a bit.
LUCY has never been live covered. The four foals she had were all due to AI. We acquired her to late in the season to breed to our stallion, so LUCY is open for 2026 (no fault of hers).

What an outstanding pedigree this filly has. The line-bred DRIFTWOOD coming in off the top side of her pedigree is said to be the golden cross on line-bred BLUE VALENTINE/JOE HANCOCKs (her dam). It certainly brings out athleticism in this cross. Boy oh boy this red headed FIRECRACKER is fast and loves to run. I am very impressed with this one, she reminds me of a colt we bred many years ago named CASH (SWISHER HANCOCK out of our retired line-bred race mare named CLASSY). We have never raised a red head here at R3 before, I am super stoked for her to shed and show us her roaned out body. You guys are going to drool over her when she reaches the pop out age between 3-4 months old. Her sire is a working ranch horse on the plains of South Dakota. This is not easy for me to have to put PIPER on the market! PIPER is an incredible producer, she is easy to get in foal, work with in the chutes and she pasture breeds. We mostly AI her just because we do all our mares like that so that we have a due date and then foal them out. PIPER is not broke to ride, I never anticipated selling her. If you wanted to make a rider out of her, she would be great at that job, so kind and loves attention. We had a culture run on her last month in case she was dirty we could treat her so that she would be ready to go in 2025, she is clean.
